So, the current blogging trend is to write a list of ten things that I have done that you probably haven't. Then the challenge would be for you to prove me wrong, or just be amazed at what a cool and unique individual I am. I have participated in other people's lists and enjoyed them a lot. There are some neat folks out there. But... I am personally not in that kind of place right now. I don't want to stick out any more! Down with uniqueness!* I'm sick of every eye in the room instantly focusing on me the moment I open my mouth, of being the only one who doesn't know the routine or the tradition or the right word for a given situation. I still want to fit in here, not stick out any more. So I am adjusting the list a little. But for now I am tired and need some sleep.
So...in a moment, but not yet, I will write a list of ten things that I hope you HAVE experienced. Ten things that we can commiserate about or celebrate together. And you can read the list and think: "What, you too?" And then we can have a big fat happy love-in and be very touchy-feely and give each other a lot of big bear hugs, 'cause I like that kind of thing. Show me the love!
*Please realize that, despite my admitted attraction to the young, ambitious Che, I am saying this tongue-in-cheek and am not yet a full-blown card-carrying member of the Young Communist Idealists.

I AM NY! Yay!!
"In a moment but not yet" is my absolute favorite tool when giving directions or talking to any crowd of people, especially the under-18 variety, although I am eternally surprised at how often adults need it too!
