Hrmph. I see that my attempt to subvert the dominant paradigm of listing everyone alphabetically has met with resistance (that is, resistance from those not on the top of the list...). I guess I forgot about "being PC" and Midwest nice," and have caught the German disease of saying it like it is. :-P But people, who says that how often you blog is any sort of measurement of your character? There are a gazillion factors involved: internet access, job boringness level, feeling like spewing your thoughts for all to see or not feeling like it, or (in my case) whether or not you have actual flesh-and-blood friends in your time zone. More is not necessarily better! Less boring for the casual observer, perhaps, but not existentially better or worse.
I think blogging is as good a medium as any for calling out one's inner demons. If I were hypothetically to interpret a stagnant blog as the author's personal vendetta against me, then that would be a reflection of my own personal neuroses, and not anyone else's, would it not? And if someone were to notice that I took a few days off of blogging, perhaps they would think "wow, Jess's social life must have perked up enormously," which, while generous and optimistic, would be entirely mistaken.
Anyway, what the heck was I talking about? Oh yes, I have devised a method that I hope will remove all controversy from the link-ordering process: blog names will be transliterated into the Japanese Hiragana alphabet and placed in descending order of stroke count in the first syllable. Ties will be broken in as arbitrary a manner as I can devise: by the random-number generator on my graphing calculator. Everyone satisfied? Because I like harmony.

It was exactly the swift kick in the arse I needed to rejoin the blogging community.
Well, I guess that is not such a bad thing then, huh. :-) But I do hope (for real) that blogging doesn't mean you have to give up your other creative pursuits, because I think the world definitely needs Mustache!Remus T-shirts!! :-)
