my morning

Highlights of my Saturday morning:

• Sleeping in as long as possible, due to my newly-concocted plan to drive home after the party tonight so as to be able to attend my own church tomorrow morning. Despite the wonderful hospitality of friends and Marriott, I am realizing swiftly how very much I enjoy sleeping in my own bed.
• Watching "Penelope"'s cat attempt to ascend the toilet and instead fall in, much to her surprise and disgust, and then convulsingly attempt to remove all of the offending water by shaking her back legs in turn and then earnestly getting down to the business of licking them dry.*
• Breaking some obscure plastic ring in my bra strap, thus rendering the entire thing defunct, and having to improvise with a sheer white scarf which produced a pleasant sort of construction one might find in Brazilian Bikini Digest, likely gracing someone more buxom and far more buff than me.
• Going for a long, long walk. Details to follow.

*No cats were harmed in the making of this blog entry. Also, the toilet had recently been flushed, so no harm done in that arena either.
