We work very different schedules, so my roomies and I, whilst often hanging around in varying constellations of cool, don't often get the chance to do something all together. So naturally we jumped at the chance to attend the local campus ministry's "20's and 30's single group," of which 3 of us attended the inaugural event two weeks ago. Today's variation was a potluck supper, which turned out fairly balanced and quite yummy. Our own contributions included Spaghetti Monterrey, pesto primavera, brownies, and an enormous tub of charoset, left over from the Jewish feast that Kristen attended at camp yesterday.
And now we are sitting here in the living room, with a fire blazing in the background and the chinchilla romping about. Nate has pulled out his violin to regale us with Irish folk tunes, and I am busy creating fleece blankets (my new* hobby). After the violin concert, we have several guitars lying around for anyone who pleases, and plenty of Scrubs reruns on the Box Formerly Known as Myth (it's, ya know, like a Tivo).
Wanna hear some funny quotes from our quote board? Here goes:
- "I love it when random stupidity turns into random awesomeness." - Nate
- "My pants are exempt from Robert's Rules of Order!" - Charlie
- "I bet the people who make and sell candy really like Halloween!" - Kristen
- "It wouldn't be porn if Kristen flashed you - it'd just be Kristen. She's your roommate; it's not porn if your roommate flashes you." - Jess
- "Everyone has to have something they're good at. Mine just happens to be disgusting and repulsive." -Nate
* as of yesterday! I decided I needed one, and this one was affordable, not too hard, and required really only fleece to get me started.

You all do, indeed, sound awesome. I love it that you're blogging every day!
Mmmmm . . . fleece! I've taken quite a liking to my two fleece blankets. I didn't realize when moving into my apartment that "heat included" is a code word for "we're so stingy with the heat that you'll have to walk around all day draped in a blanket and wearing your winter cap."
How does one make a fleece blanket? I think that you should post instructions as a blog entry in my honor :)
