Being on the road is a time-warping experience. This class started four days ago; on the other hand, I'm quite sure I've been here forever, with these people, in this hotel room. My life has never consisted of anything but fundraising, and talking about fundraising, and preparing to do fundraising. Time flies or crawls in non-standard tempos, sputters and sprints, following nothing but its own agenda. In the blink of an eye my inbox is overflowing. My life at large is completely on hold, but yet I exist by the relentlessly punctual class schedule. Routine is lacking but overpowering. Warped.
