The HBP review that wasn't

So I really have some things to say about HBP, theories and reactions and the like... but I hate spoilers, and it follows that I shouldn't write any. Stupid integrity. So, my HBP review, with spoilers and everything else of interest edited out:

  • Man, parts of HBP were just too good to be true... so I don't think they are.
  • And then there were the parts that were just too depressing to be true... those probably are.
  • But the ones that were too easy to be true - no way. JKR does not do easy. This subplot is coming back to bite Harry, you gotta know it.
  • It totally figures that (CENSORED).
  • I really thought that (CENSORED) would (CENSORED) in the end, but I guess that could still happen in Book 7.
  • You gotta know that (CENSORED) has been waiting to (CENSORED) since Book One.
  • Those two? We totally called it. Those other two? Called that too. And everybody has known about those two forever. No surprises there. Hit us with something really imaginative, Jo!

Basically, I agree with Rae (warning: spoilers!). Except her RAB might be too easy.

Whew. I read the book, but I just can'd decipher your (CENSORED) comments. However, Rae's post cracked me up.

can't. I meant "can't."

Here's how out of touch I am...it took me about a minute to figure out what HBP stood for. My first guest was close (Harry 'Bloody' Potter).

whew, so honored!

RAB is totally who i say it is. so many other people say so too. and you remember that who i think it is was mentioned, very briefly, at the beginning of the book in a way that seems rather random?

JKR doesn't do random.

Yeah, Rae, on second reading, I agree with you more... because he was mentioned NOT ONLY ONCE in the first few chapters!! I think three times even, "randomly." So yeah, not random.

Does it matter that he's dead?

What in god's name are you going on about, Jessica?

Ooh, Harry Bloody Potter--thanks, Jaime, it seems we are in the same clueless camp.
