which means I had better get home and finish up the last-minute going-away stuff:
- washing dishes
- taking out the trash
- emptying the fridge so as to avoid the oh-so-nasty moldy oldies
- loading up all the batteries: camera, laptop, mp3 player
- last-minute suitcase rearrangement - I know I can get one more book in here!
- and then, if I have time and the adrenaline abates a bit: a precious few hours of sleep before the alarm jangles me awake in time to catch the 7-something train. Which will take me to the airport. Where a plane is waiting to take me HOME!

Last time I got all loopy with the dire threats that I wouldn't be blogging much during my sojourn... and I did anyway. Pretty much, I can't tear myself away for long. So I won't amuse you with my hollow apocalyptic predictions. I am, after all, taking my laptop with me. And I hear that y'all have wireless everywhere now.

Yay home! And how did you get a flight that doesn't leave at sunrise-o'clock? I always had to take the 5:00 train to Tegel.
Have a safe trip and have fun! Tell your dad I say hello!
