Office space

In as few as 8 months (or as many as 13), I am coming home. *Rejoices an exceedingly great joy* And, because I am now officially Working For the Man Every Night and Day (that is, your favorite denomination and mine), I need to start thinking chop-chop about where I might go to and what I might do there. For us rostered folk (i.e. clergy and ministers of various sorts), switching jobs requires mounds of paperwork, the consent of multiple bishops, the right job, and several months of preparation.

For Jess's personal health and mental stability, switching jobs is also going to require "Insta-Community! Just add Jess!" Because I absolutely cannot abide the idea of starting over, friendless, in some godforsaken small town (or worse, suburb) and disappearing once again into the woodwork. Uh-uh. Not in the Land of Opportunity where there still are a few people who are proud to know me. :-) So yes, whichever city I move to, it will be one where I already have a good idea of who my friends will be. Call me immature if you must (although if you do, I will cordially invite you to bite me). I call it absolutely necessary.

So, I spent a large chunk of yesterday writing my resume. And dang, I have done some interesting stuff. I would totally hire me - providing, of course, that the interview went well. :-)
