In college, I would sometimes sit with my friend Joannie and play the word-association game. We would start with one of us writing down a word on the back of an old envelope, then the other would write down the first thing that came into her head based on that word, and so on. It was pointless and random and somehow a delicious, lazy time filler.
On Saturday, I went to Leipzig with three friends, and we had an amazing time. Layer upon layer of history, all wound up and convoluted and curling in on itself in a few square blocks, with a huge construction site on the market creating the newest layer. One of my friends asked me what Americans know about Leipzig. Hmm...I am pretty sure I didn't know a darn thing about the city until I visited it for the first time a couple years ago. So I thought I would ask you... when I say "Leipzig", what do you think of?

Balderdash. :) That's what comes to mind....the game where you try to trick others into thinking that your made-up definition of a silly word is true. I had never heard of the city. That's why I'm glad you're there to broaden our horizons! :) Amy

Classical music comes to mind, for some reason
ooh, and Einstein
Hey, that was fun! Now I will have to do some research and see what it really means.. stay tuned!
Oh, and I guess when Jessica thinks of Leipzig, she thinks of TNL at once!
I have some friends in Leipzig.
And I thought Bach was a BAROQUE composer...
