moving details

OK. I moved to Chicago on July 1 and I think I have almost finished ironing out the details. Finally. For some reason this has felt like my most complicated move ever, details-wise. I blame Mayor Daley.

Here is a grand list of what I've accomplished so far, recounted here so that I don't forget to do any of this stuff next time:

- Moved all my stuff (U-Haul)
- Signed lease and rental application (Landlady)
- Paid my apartment rental deposit (Landlady)
- Got my Chicago library card (Library)
- Passed the Illinois driving test (DMV)
- Got my Illinois driver's license (DMV)
- Got my license tabs (DMV)
- Got my Illinois auto registration (DMV)
- Got my new voter registration (DMV)
- Got my car insurance changed over to Illinois (State Farm)
- Got my renter's insurance changed over to Illinois (Library)
- Filled out approximately 10,000 change-of-address forms (Everywhere)
- Bought a fancy new Chicago-strength U-lock for my bike (Ace Hardware)
- Joined a church

Things I still need to do:
- Get a city of Chicago parking sticker (Not sure where?)
- Actually put the new license plates onto my car (This requires tools of some sort...)
