stories of my life, in bullet format

• So I got home from another roadtrip today, and was pretty disappointed to see that not very many of my housemates were roaming around. There were only 5 of us at dinner! And then we went down to visit one of the other houses in the co-op, and there were only four of them around. And it turns out that all of us were kind of feeling lonely, having the feeling of rattling around inside these big old houses with too few people in them! So we planned a potluck for tomorrow. I'm looking forward to having a full complement of housemates again. I think to many people it would seem almost absurd to complain about "only" 5 people showing up for dinner. :-)
• I'm starting to feel like I've been neglecting this blog lately, so I'll try to post more. We'll see how that goes.
• I feel like I made a new friend this week. Actually it was someone I've known for a while, but hadn't had the chance to really talk to much, and I quite enjoyed it when I did. Yay for that.
• I like being home, and kind of wish I could be home a little more and on the road a little less. I will brainstorm some ideas of how to make that happen. Hooray for flexibility in scheduling!
• I just finished working my way out from under the piles of checks and bills that I'm responsible for each month for our co-op. I like having this kind of responsibility, but man, it's a lot of details to organize.
• We removed a bat from the Anomy House tonight. We spotted him hanging out on the curtain, and I guess they had known about the little guy for a while, because some creative soul had fashioned a very user-friendly bat-catching device consisting of a laundry basket, a large mesh bag, and a broom handle. It worked splendidly, and little Batman was happy to stretch his wings and explore the front yard.
• I need to know Excel better than I do. I guess that's my next project!
