This is something I wrote in an e-mail to a friend. Pretty much sums it up.

The restructuring, more than anything, has been incredibly sad. Even after just a few months, I know how valuable each of those 65 people was, and watching their gifts walk out the door is so hard. But at the same time, I really do believe the leadership has done the best they could with what they had to work with, and I want to be part of the rebuilding. It's pretty post-apocalyptic around here, in the devastated sense, and also in the hopeful sense-- we're the remnant, and it's up to us to make the new world happen (but without the hubris).
