I got a chance to sit at my favorite place in Chicago yesterday-- The Point in Hyde Park -- and watch the full moon rise. The waves splashed against the shore in tidal rhythm. A determined (and cold?) swimmer "crawled" past, towing his own rescue raft. The racket of cars on Lake Shore Drive was reduced to an almost-natural hum.
And did I mention the moon?
